Jan and Mal

And who made it a success you might ask ? Well the answer is quite simple, Jan and Mal for their fantastic selection of authentic regional Indian delicacies, and last, but not least the members who supported our first curry evening, Thank you all !

As you can see from the photos the there was a wide variety of dishes to suit everybody's palate, ranging from mild Kormas to very hot Vindaloos. There were both meat and poultry dishes along with vegetarian dishes, various types of rice, Bombay potatoes, Naan breads and plenty of Poppadoms accompanied by a wide selection of authentic chutneys.

Several members took full advantage of the eat as much as you like for £8 a head.

Quite a few committee members and officers were also seen letting their belts out an extra notch, to allow for a little bit more intake of the beautiful food on offer, I won't name them, but when questioned they all denied eating enormous platefuls of food. One photo shows a past captain up for second helpings, the camera never lies.

All this food was washed down by several pints of beer and glasses of wine in the wonderful warm, relaxing atmosphere of the club lounge.

Another plus side for me was I'm hoping I won't have to feed my son for a few days, although I suspect this won't be the case.

All in all another great night at Pontardawe Golf Club, really very well supported by the members, making the evening a huge success, I know you all enjoyed yourselves.

A massive thank you for all your support on the evening !

Make sure you look out for the next "Pontardawe Curry Evening" a night not to be missed.
